Cost of Living

We will increase the minimum wage and implement policies which drive increases to salaries to match or beat the rate of inflation and general cost of living.

We will strengthen and ensure all labour laws are met and enforced to their fullest. The Government must do everything in our power to ensure Canadian workers are paid the highest wages and salaries for their work, increasing their standard of living and making life in Canada easy and affordable.

We will no longer allow Government to manipulate inflation numbers through increased taxation and unsustainable housing and rental costs.

Canada's grocery store monopolies have been gouging Canadians for far too long. We will break up these monopolies, cap unjustified price increases, and regulate the industry. No more excuses — grocery prices will be brought under control.

We will regulate the auto insurance industry to ensure fair pricing for all Canadians. Insurance companies will no longer be allowed to exploit drivers with excessive premiums. The industry will be held accountable and rates will be fair and transparent.

We will push for genuine competition and regulation in Canada's telecommunications industry. Canadians pay some of the highest prices in the world for internet and mobile services. We will break up telecom monopolies, encourage new market entrants, and cap unjustified price increases.

We will eliminate all hidden taxes to heating and electricity.

We will reduce wasteful spending and reduce Government Federal, Provincial and Municipal debt to ensure we have a strong Canadian dollar making imported goods less expensive to Canadians.

We will strengthen ties with countries producing consumables and ensure greater exports to guarantee we have open and fair buying power for Canadians.

We will re-establish and increase payments for our pensioners to ensure they are not struggling after a lifetime of paying into government retirement programs.
