Environment

1

Climate change is a real thing. It is estimated the world economy will suffer up to $400 Trillion in related expenses to this foreseeable catastrophe. This would equate to 3% of the world's GDP from the years 2050 and onward.

2

Canadians must prudently and smartly take actions to defend our environment and the future viability of sectors within our economy by planning and participating in possible immediate and long term changes to the economy.

3

Past governments created the carbon tax. They have taken funds from hard-working Canadians for domestic spending and population expansion projects without making any significant contributions to reducing carbon emissions through investments. They have falsely implied Canadians must carry the world's burden on carbon pollution when, if managed correctly, we are a negative contributor to carbon emissions.

4

Canada must make real investments into protecting our forests, including a significant increase in manpower and equipment into fighting the huge forest fires we have been experiencing over the past few years. This includes a comprehensive forestry management plan; fighting pine beetle and early warning and emergency response. We must ensure to mitigate the air pollution and damage caused by these disasters.

5

We will make real investments in new technologies such as fusion, solar and wind. We will provide companies with real incentives to put in place carbon reducing practices.

6

Current and former governments, backed by corporate interests, have stated their intention and have pushed to significantly increase Canada's population. This cannot be allowed to continue. Cutting down our forests for urban sprawl is not protecting the environment - it destroys our natural carbon offset while requiring significantly more fossil fuel burning to produce electricity for vehicles and homes to support a larger population.

7

Canadians must invest directly in the future of energy projects without corruption or fraudulent wealth transfer schemes or unethical government tax schemes.

8

Our government must participate and guide its Citizens to find meaningful and economical ways to move toward this future.

9

The Provinces and Federal government must plan and work to ensure a streamlined transfer to new technologies and protect workers in industries which may see significant changes and reductions through training and job creation.
